FinionPay Payments in Member Platform are degraded
Updates
The incident occurred on 2026-02-04 between 08:07 CET and 21:00 CET and has been fully resolved.
The root cause was a defect in the MySports payments API integration with FinionPay, which prevented users from settling open debts.
During the analysis, gaps in code ownership and peer-review accountability were identified as contributing factors. These will be addressed by clarifying ownership and strengthening review requirements for payment-critical components.
In addition, monitoring for the affected services will be enhanced, and automated QA coverage will be expanded to detect similar failures earlier and prevent recurrence.
Incident Summary
On the 4th of February, an issue with resolving open debts was introduced which affected the MySports App as well as Web. The root cause was a software bug which lead to errors when trying to balance open debts.
Impact on Users
Until 21:00 studio members were not able to settle their open debts via the Member Platform.

17:00 CET: First reports of problems settling open debts
17:55 CET: The technical bug was identified by the engineering team
19:12 CET: The engineering team prepared the fix
20:43 CET: Fix was deployed to production and monitoring of the situation began
21:00 CET: Incident was resolved
A fix was deployed and the services performances are back to normal.
